Namma Metro is the rapid transit system of Bengaluru (Bangalore), operated by BMRCL, with three operational lines covering 83 stations, plus two more under construction. The Purple Line (Reach 1 & 2) runs east–west from Whitefield (Kadugodi) to Challaghatta via MG Road, Cubbon Park, Majestic (Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station), Mysuru Road and Kengeri — 37 stations spanning 43 km. The Green Line (Reach 3 & 4) runs north–south from Madavara to Silk Institute via Nagasandra, Rajajinagar, Majestic, Lalbagh, Jayanagar, Banashankari and Yelachenahalli — 32 stations spanning 29 km. Both lines interchange at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic), the central hub of the Namma Metro network.
The Yellow Line connects Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road to Delta Electronics Bommasandra via Jayadeva Hospital, BTM Layout, Central Silk Board and Electronic City — 16 stations on the Reach 5 corridor. Interchange stations connecting the three operational lines are Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Purple, Green) and Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road (Green, Yellow).
Two more lines are under construction and not yet carrying passengers. The Pink Line (Reach 6) will link Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara via IIMB, Jayadeva Hospital, MG Road and Shivajinagar — 18 stations, with its first phase expected around August 2026. The Blue Line will run from Central Silk Board through the Outer Ring Road corridor and Hebbal all the way to Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL Terminals) — 29 stations, opening in phases through 2026–27. Once open, Pink Line will interchange with Yellow at Jayadeva Hospital, with Purple at MG Road, and with Blue at Nagawara; Blue Line will also interchange with Yellow at Central Silk Board and with Purple at Krishnaraja Puram.
Namma Metro token fares are set by BMRCL and range from ₹10 for short trips up to ₹90 for the longest journeys. Namma Card (smart card) holders receive 5% off during weekday peak hours (8–11am, 5–8pm) and 10% off at all other times, including all-day Sunday — making frequent commuters save significantly over time. The fare slabs are: up to 2 km ₹10, 2–4 km ₹20, 4–6 km ₹30, 6–10 km ₹40, 10–14 km ₹50, 14–18 km ₹60, 18–24 km ₹70, 24–28 km ₹80, above 28 km ₹90. Purple Line and Green Line trains operate from 5:00 AM (4:15 AM on Mondays) to 11:05 PM daily with trains every 5–10 minutes during peak hours. Yellow Line runs from 6:00 AM (5:05 AM on Mondays) to 11:55 PM with trains every 8–15 minutes. Pink Line and Blue Line are still under construction and not yet carrying passengers — Pink Line's first phase is expected to open around August 2026, with Blue Line following later in 2026. Namma Metro's busiest stations include MG Road, Indiranagar, Cubbon Park and Majestic on the Purple Line; Jayanagar, Banashankari, Rajajinagar and South End Circle on the Green Line; and BTM Layout, Jayadeva Hospital and Central Silk Board on the Yellow Line. Nearby areas such as JP Nagar, Koramangala, HSR Layout and Silk Board connect to Namma Metro through these stations, making MG Road, Majestic and Central Silk Board the network's busiest interchange points.
Namma Metro's key interchange stations are Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic), where the Purple and Green Lines meet; Central Silk Board, the future Yellow–Blue Line junction; and Jayadeva Hospital, connecting the Yellow and Pink Lines. Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road links the Green and Yellow Lines, while Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic) and Central Silk Board remain the busiest transfer points across the Namma Metro network.
